Moving week for priests across the Diocese
July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.
From cards, letters and even well-planned send off parties, parishioners across the Diocese have found special ways to say good-bye to those priests who will be leaving their communities in the coming days to either retire or take their new assignments. Those same parish communities are also getting ready to welcome the priests who will be newly arriving at the end of the week.
This is moving week across the Diocese, with most priest assignments scheduled to take effect July 1. For a list of priest retirements and assignments, including those of the Diocese’s six newest priests announced by Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., in early May, CLICK HERE.
The Monitor will publish a round-up of parishes’ tributes to their priests who will be leaving in the June 30 issue and on TrentonMonitor.com beginning July 1.
