The first Festival of Praise in the Diocese of Trenton drew scores of enthusiastic faithful Nov. 18 to St. Mary Church, Middletown, for an evening of Charismatic praise and worship, Scripture reflections and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Themed “Jesus Is Lord,” and based on the format of the monthly Festivals of Praise that originated in the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, the event was a follow-up to the successful New Jersey Catholic Charismatic Conference held Sept. 22-23, celebrating the golden jubilee of the Charismatic Renewal.
