Environmental fair highlights theme of being good stewards of the earth
July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

On Sunday, April 15, the social justice committee in St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Hightstown, held its annual environmental fair, which is a family oriented event featuring a fun and educational puppet show, a big craft table and many hands-on activities.
The participants come from different backgrounds, but they have a common ideal: to be good stewards of our planet. They range from Better Beginnings and other local pre-schools to area high schools, from a master gardener to the environmental Commission, from the nearby Muslim Institute to Meadow Lakes Senior Community.
This year, several parish ministries joined in, and the event attracted around 200 visitors. The fair is free for participants and visitors who often leave with objects made at the craft table, seeds and small plants, or gifts donated by local stores. Courtesy photos
