Diocese of Trenton's donations to Hurricane Harvey relief sent to Texas

As of Sept. 18, the people of the Diocese of Trenton had contributed a total of $502,198 to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. A second check will be sent to the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston with the remaining amount.
“With these gifts from the faithful of the Diocese here, comes our prayers for your good people and for speedy recovery from the devastation you have experienced,” Bishop O’Connell wrote in a message to the archdiocese’s Cardinal Daniel DiNardo. “We remember all too well such catastrophe as a result of Hurricane Sandy here some few years ago. We offer you these contributions with great love and compassion.
“May God be with you and your people.”
