'Dining in the Kingdom' retreat planned for June 8

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

Sacred Doorways, a nonprofit organization that has as its mission to serve the community through thought-provoking, spiritual retreats and events, will host a luncheon retreat, “Dining in the Kingdom – A Menu for the Feast of Life,” from noon to 3 p.m. June 8 in St. Joan of Arc Parish, 100 Willow Bend Road, Marlton.

Presenter Father Richard Fragomeni will lead participants through a four-course meal as they explore what it means to develop a deeper relationship with God and “for what we really hunger,” said Carol Pisani, who co-directs Sacred Doorways with her husband, Roger.

Questions participants will consider during the luncheon retreat, she said, will include, “What do we need to relinquish so as to see with new eyes and enter more deeply into the mystery of our loving God?”

Father Fragomeni is a priest of the Diocese of Albany, N.Y., and a faculty member at Catholic Theological Union, Chicago, where he is professor of liturgy and chair of the Department of Word and Worship. In addition to serving as co-directors of Sacred Doorways, Carol Pisani ministers in St. Peter Parish, Point Pleasant Beach, as director of faith formation, and Roger Pisani is director of pastoral associate for liturgy and music in St. Joseph Parish, North Plainfield.

Cost is $65 per person, which includes a four-course lunch and retreat. Seating is limited so deadline to register is June 1. Make checks payable to Sacred Doorways and send to Sacred Doorways, P.O. Box 744, Mount Holly, N.J. 08060. For more information, contact the Pisanis at 609-702-7858.
