The Capital Singers of Trenton will present “Let All the World in Every Corner Sing,” a concert featuring the debut performance of conductor Vinroy D. Brown, at 4 p.m. June 3 in Sacred Heart Church, 343 S. Broad St., Trenton.

Witten in 1921, Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Mass in G Minor” will weave throughout the concert’s four thematic sections, which move from supplication to hope. The Mass features a quartet of guest artists: Rochelle Ellis, Ravon Middlebrooks, Patrice P. Eaton and Courtney Carey.

In addition to selections by classical composer Franz Joseph Haydn and contemporary composers Alice Parker and Moses Hogan, the program will also include “Have Ye Not Known” and “Ye Shall Have a Song” from American composer Randall Thompson’s “The Peaceable Kingdom,” Norwegian pianist Ola Gjeilo’s “Ubi Caritas” and American conductor Robert Ray’s “Kyrie” from Gospel Mass.

Brown formerly served as conductor to the CST’s smaller, auditioned chorale in the December 2017 Winter Songs concert. He began conducting the full chorus in January following the retirement of founding conductor Richard M. Loatman.

Brown holds degrees in sacred music and music education from Westminster Choir College and serves as director of choral activities at Morristown High School, conductor of the Westminster Jubilee Singers at Westminster Choir College, the director of music and worship arts at the Elmwood United Presbyterian Church in East Orange, and founder, artistic director and conductor of the Elmwood Concert Singers.

CST, which performs a repertoire of sacred and secular music, strives to promote the art of choral singing, to enrich the cultural life of New Jersey and act as ambassadors for Trenton through concerts, special performances and community outreach.
