While we have not quite reached Advent, Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., and scores of faithful from across the Diocese of Trenton gathered Nov. 30 in St. Catharine Church, Spring Lake, to tape an Easter Mass that’s set to be nationally televised in 2018.

The Mass will be broadcast Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, on ABC-affiliated television stations nationwide through the auspices of the Interfaith Broadcasting Commission. The hour-long broadcast, produced by the Diocesan Department of Multimedia Production, will include an introduction from Bishop O’Connell explaining the significance of the Easter Celebration for the Catholic Church.

Members of St. Catharine-St. Margaret Parish, Spring Lake, as well as other parishioners and Catholic school students from throughout the Diocese were in attendance to celebrate the greatest feast day in the Catholic Church – the Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Broadcast times and stations will be announced during Lent.[[In-content Ad]]
