Area priest to discuss new Pope movie after private screening in Hamilton theater

A private screening of “Pope Francis: A Man of His Word,” the newly released documentary that highlights the Holy Father’s personal journey and his efforts to reform the Vatican and answer contemporary global questions, will be held at 6 p.m. June 14 at AMC Hamilton 24.
Sponsored by Mercer Wealth Management, the movie will delve into areas which are of great concern to Pope Francis including those who are poor and wealth inequality as well as his involvement in environmental issues, social justice and calls for peace.
The screening will be followed by reflections and commentary from Msgr. Vincent Gartland, a retired priest of the Diocese. Light refreshments will be served.
Tickets, at $50 per person; $30 for students, and $100 for a family ticket, may be purchased by visiting https://www.eventbrite.com/ or by emailing [email protected].
Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Center for FaithJustice, a Lawrenceville-based outreach that sponsors programs to help persons in need and educate for justice in the Catholic tradition.
