Annual Pastoral Care Retreat to be held May 4
The 12th annual Pastoral Care Retreat, Day of Reflection and Renewal at the Shore, is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 4 in the San Alfonso Retreat House, Long Branch.
Sponsored by the diocesan Department of Pastoral Care, the retreat is a day of renewal for all who journey with the sick; parish visitors of the sick, chaplains, clergy, religious, homebound visitors, employees and volunteers in nursing homes, hospices and hospitals, spiritual directors, lay ecclesial ministers, family caregivers, faith community nurses and other health care professionals.
Using the theme, “We’re all Un-Free, and on the Road to Freedom, God is the Key,” the retreat will consist of morning and afternoon talks by presenter Vincentian Father Martin McGeough, prayer time, beach walks, lunch and a Mass.
