Annual blanket and coat drive
July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton, recently held its annual blanket and coat drive as part of its mission to help those in need. St. Francis employees and local community members donated blankets, coats, socks, and hygiene products to Henry J. Austin Health Center; New Horizon Services; Hyacinth AIDS Foundation, and Trenton-Mercer Continuum of Care’s Youth Connect event, aimed at assisting unaccompanied youth between the ages of 18 and 24 who are experiencing homelessness. The drive brought in hundreds of items and filled the pews of the chapel within St. Francis Medical Center. Four cars were packed to take the items to each location, making multiple trips. In this photo, Father Carmen Carlone, from the medical center’s pastoral care department, offers a prayer for those need and thanks the many donors who gave to help others. Courtesy photo
