From the second annual Catholic Schools Do It All Day of Service, to Administrative Professionals Day there was no shortage of compelling content on the Diocese of Trenton’s social media accounts.

One highlight on Facebook was the special celebration the Diocese of Trenton planned for Administrative Professionals Day, April 27, in honor of those who work in the “ministry of welcome” for the Church. Bishop David M. O’Connell celebrated Mass in St. Catharine Church, Spring Lake, for the about 140 administrative professionals working in parishes, schools and diocesan offices, who also were treated to a luncheon (You can read about the day-long event more in depth on page 3).

The Monitor page shared photos from Mass, which were met with several remarks about the beauty of St. Catharine Church. Others thanked those whom the day was meant to honor.

“Thank you to the amazing administrative professionals that keep our parish, school and cemeteries going every day. God Bless,” wrote the page administered by St. Catharine-St. Margaret Parish, Spring Lake.

Mariann Gilbride, the Diocese of Trenton’s associate director of development, wrote, “The Development Office is grateful to all of the Diocesan Administrative Professionals for ALL they do EVERY DAY, especially Linda M. and Shannon L.”

The Monitor also put together a slideshow celebrating all administrative professionals who work for the Church, with tribute messages from several Diocese of Trenton parishes. It can be viewed by visiting www.Facebook.com/TrentonMonitor.

On May 2, Msgr. Walter Nolan welcomed author Karen Kelly Boyce on the Diocese of Trenton-produced television show, “The Catholic Corner.” The Diocese of Trenton shared photos from the taping on its Facebook page and received several comments from those who are familiar with Boyce’s children’s book series, “The Sisters of The Last Straw,” which chronicles the escapades of misfit but lovable nuns who solve mysteries.

“My 11-year-old daughter LOVES Karen Kelly Boyce's “Sisters of the Last Straw” series — highly recommended,” wrote Debbie Gancila Gaudino.

The author responded with a “thank you” to Gaudino’s post, noting that everyone on the Catholic Corner set “were so kind!”

You can watch past episodes of The Catholic Corner at youtube.com/user/CatholicCorner and read a Trenton Monitor profile on Boyce and her work by visiting http://bit.ly/1rrerPA.
