Red Bank Catholic High School announced that Patricia Hendricks has been named the school’s new director of guidance.
"Red Bank Catholic is thrilled to have Pat as new Director of Guidance" said principal Robert Abatemarco. "I believe that her skills, talents, and knowledge will contribute to the success of our students, and the school."
Hendricks spent some time working for schools in Scranton, Pa., and then in the West Long Branch school system before joining the RBC faculty as a teacher of British Literature in 2006. She then transitioned into guidance as a counselor in 2008.
“Counselors fill a unique role in the school setting,” Hendricks said. “They help students meet personal and social development goals, sustaining students in achieving academic success and encouraging students to give their all. They also provide assistance to administrators and teachers as they strive to meet the individual needs of their students. I look forward to working with everyone in the Red Bank Catholic community.”
Throughout her years of service in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Hendricks’ accomplishments include developing an alternate school for students in crisis, acting as scholarship coordinator, moderating several clubs, and acting as a Leadership Coach for senior experience.
Hendricks holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Scranton as well as a master of science – counselor education – degree also from the University of Scranton.
