Contact of Burlington County is looking for dedicated volunteers to respond to hospitals, police departments and courts to assist individuals impacted by sexual violence. Volunteer opportunities are open to persons who are students, stay-at-home parents, retirees or anyone who wants to assist in his or her community.

To qualify as a volunteer, one must be: 18 years or older; a resident of Burlington County; complete a 40-hour state training course; commit to on-call responsibility of at least 16 hours a month; have regular email and cell phone access, reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license; commit to at least one year of service; attend continuing education and ongoing supervision meetings; complete an application and pay a $50 training fee.

The next 40-hour training session begins on March 4 and will be on the following Mondays and Wednesdays: March 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27, April 1, 3. Each session runs from 5 to 9 p.m.
