The Torches of Our Lady of Guadalupe Season of Remembrance Mass will be livestreamed at 10 a.m. Dec. 5.

This weekend, Dec. 5, the 17 Guadalupe Torches will come together for the fifth annual Las Antorchas Guadalupanas Mass.

The Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton, by Msgr. Joseph Roldan, Cathedral rector. It will be livestreamed in both Spanish and English on all diocesan media outlets. Attendance is limited to the torch captains due to pandemic restrictions.

“Our faith indeed provides the strength and light we need at such times. We are also confident that we can turn to Mary, our Mother, as an advocate and sure comfort,” Josue Arriola, director of the diocesan Department of Evangelization and Family Life, said recently of this beloved tradition.

Thanks to the faithful torch captains, the Guadalupe Torches have been visiting parishes and schools around the Diocese since the end of October, when they were first lit. Tune in Saturday morning as the 17 captains unite in a message of faith, love and hope – and the prayers posted on this year’s Virtual Wall of Remembrance are read aloud.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!
