Every year, The Monitor has made it a practice to visit parishes throughout the Diocese for liturgies and events taking place during Holy Week and the Sacred Triduum.

This year, The Monitor staff will still be reporting on Holy Week liturgies – which are being livestreamed without a congregation – but due to coronavirus restrictions, this coverage will look different than years past.

Because the arrival of Holy Week 2020 finds so many of us truly missing the ability to gather in our churches to commemorate these most solemn days together, all of us at The Monitor wanted to help ease this longing a bit by revisiting the experiences from 2019, 2018 and 2017 as captured in these photo compilations – shown through the lenses of our talented freelance partners.
