The diocesan Department of Catechesis is sponsoring the “Creating an Effective Mystagogy” team training workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 5 in St. David the King Parish, Princeton Junction.

The training is designed for priests, deacons, adult religious education directors and members of parish Rite of Christian Initiation of Adult teams. The presenter is Missionary of the Precious Blood Father Dennis Chriszt, who will show attendees how to create a catechumenal process where the initiation rites are just the beginning.

Father Chriszt is director of advanced formation and director of parish missions for the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. He has worked in parish ministry, preached retreats, written for numerous Catholic journals and produced a number of theological works, including the RCIA resource “Creating an Effective Mystagogy: A Handbook for Catechumenate Leaders.”

Cost for the workshop is $15 per person and includes a light breakfast and lunch.
