Teens in the Diocese of Trenton are joining young people from across the United States in a weekly live youth night being held online Sunday nights.

The live broadcasts, being produced by ProjectYM, begin at 8 p.m. EST. Each is an hour long and include music, games and a featured youth ministry speaker from across the country. There are also resources for parents and youth ministers to utilize after each broadcast.

The Diocese of Trenton has been actively promoting the event to parishes and inviting young people and youth ministries to participate in this time of social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I think this is an awesome opportunity to engage our young people and help them grow in their faith even when we cannot gather in person,” said Dan Waddington, director of the diocesan department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries. “I am grateful to ProjectYM for creating this opportunity and happy to support it.”

The weekly live youth night is being produced in association with Ablaze Ministries, Next Level and YDisciple, which is associated with NET Ministries.

“During these unprecedented circumstances, it is more important than ever to help our young people stay strong in their faith and rely on our God in whatever way we can,” Waddington said.
