Young people in grades 8-12 from throughout the Diocese are invited to live out their Catholic faith while helping persons in need during the annual Mission: Jersey to be held in four locations this summer.

Hosted by the diocesan Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, the in-person days of service will reflect on the theme of “The Year of St. Joseph” and will include prayer experiences, community building activities and witness testimonials offered by representatives from different service organizations.

“These days will empower our young people to use their gifts and talents to make a real difference in their local community, as well as growth in their faith,” according to Dan Waddington, department director.

The one-day event will be offered in four parishes on the following days: July 27, St. Mary of the Pines Church, 100 Bishop Way, Manahawkin; July 29, St. Gabriel Parish, 100 N. Main St., Marlboro; August 3, Holy Eucharist Parish, 520 Medford Lakes Rd., Tabernacle, and Aug. 5, St. Gregory the Great Parish, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.

Each day is scheduled to run from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., and participants are asked to donate $10 for materials.
