The Youth Choir of St. Ann Parish, Lawrenceville, will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a gala concert and reception May 5 at 3:30 p.m. in the church at 1253 Lawrenceville Road.

The concert will be a retrospective of the music sung by the choir throughout its 25 year history and will demonstrate the progression from its early days singing in unison to the four part harmonies it uses today. An original composition, entitled “Hallelujah Day” composed by Jean and David Perry, commissioned for the occasion will also be sung. The piece was written with the voices of the choir in mind and demonstrates the commitment of the children to music and its use as a celebration of faith.

The Youth Choir was established by Msgr. Thomas Frain, retired priest of the Diocese of Trenton, under the direction of Jean DiMarco, who continues to lead the choir today. More than 1,000 young people have been a part of the choir over the last 25 years. All alumni choir have been invited back for the anniversary concert.

All are welcome. For information, call the parish at 609-882-6491.
