Students of Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft, have moved to an online-only learning platform after three students tested positive for COVID-19.

Virtual learning began Sept. 25 and will continue through Oct. 9. Students will return to school Oct. 14 after the holiday weekend.

“Over the course of the past two weeks, three of our students have tested positive for COVID-19. Although the cases seem to have originated outside of school, CBA is following the directives of the New Jersey Department of Health and will move to virtual instruction for two weeks,” Christian Brother Frank Byrne, school president, said in a statement. “We look forward to having our students back on campus."

CBA students started back to school this fall with on-campus classes; accommodations were made for families who chose to have their child learn virtually. Face masks and social distance protocols have been in place since the start of school. In addition, CBA invested in an air purification system installed in every HVAC unit.
