Every year since 2007, America Needs Fatima holds the Public Square Rosary Crusade, with thousands of Rosary Rallies taking place in cities across the country. The Rosary Rallies take place on the closest Saturday to Oct. 13, the feast of the last apparition of Our Lady of Fatima and the Miracle of the Sun, and is a time when people gather in unison to pray for the intentions that God will bless the nation and for a conversion of hearts among all people.

Among the more than 23,000 groups from across the country that are expected to participate in this year’s Rosary Rallies, which are scheduled for Oct. 15 at noon, will be parishioners representing a number of parishes from around the four-county Diocese of Trenton.

“The Fatima message emphasizes the core beliefs and devotions of the Catholic faith such as the Eucharist, the Rosary and the Holy Trinity,” said Michelle Perone, who is organizing the Rosary Rally for three Mercer County parishes this year – Incarnation-St. James, Ewing, where she is a member; Our Lady of Good Counsel, West Trenton, and Sacred Heart Parish, Trenton.

“My hope is that this Rosary Rally and those being held across the country, will encourage more people to not only join our Rosary group but to rediscover the important blessing that the Rosary provides to God’s people,” Perone said.

Perone noted that 2022 marks the first year that the three parishes are participating in the rally together on the campus of Incarnation Church, 1545 Pennington Rd., Ewing.
