Parishes including St. Mary of the Lake and St. Anthony Claret, both Lakewood, and St. Leo the Great, Lincroft, were but two from around the Diocese to observe the Solemnity of Pentecost with in-car Masses the weekend of May 30-31. Held on the respective parish grounds, parishes were granted permission to hold in-car, outdoor Masses with distribution of Holy Communion by Bishop David M. O'Connell, C.M., May 18, which is part of a multi-phase effort leading to the restoration of the celebration of Mass in parish churches.
