In observance of St. Padre Pio’s feast day on Sept. 23, two parishes are planning festival celebrations.

St. Bede the Venerable Parish, Holland, Pa., will hold its fourth annual Padre Pio Festival Sept. 14-15. Special Masses will be celebrated in the church, located at 1071 Holland Road Sept. 14 at 5:30 p.m. and Sept. 15 at 12:30 p.m. The festival will publically exhibit to pilgrims the private collection of relics of Padre Pio normally housed in the Philadelphia Monastery of the Carmelite Sisters. A street procession and healing service with confessions and blessing with relics will follow the Sunday Mass. Buses are welcome; free parking, food vendors and live entertainment will be available. Our Lady of Pompeii Parish, Vineland, will hold its 17th annual St. Padre Pio Festival Sept. 22. on the church grounds located at 4680 Dante Ave. The festival will feature food, entertainment, and games for all ages. For more information, visit www.pppnj.org.
