Catholic Women of Zion Chapter 1 will host a retreat day March 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in St. William the Abbot Church, 2740 Allenwood Lakewood Road, Howell.

The retreat will begin with Mass at 9 a.m. Mass celebrated by Father Thomas Maher, pastor. The day will continue with a keynote speaker, sharing, networking and prayers for healing. The speaker for the day is Camille Herr, whose topic will be "Be Not Afraid, Remember that you are never alone. Christ is with you on your journey every day of your lives!" (St. John Paul II). Herr has been a member of CWOZ for 31 years and currently serves as recording secretary to the CWOZ's executive board and is the wife of the late Deacon Ed Herr.

Herr is a member of St. Dorothea Parish, Eatontown, where she currently serves as a reader, special liturgy coordinator and speaker for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults process. She has served as the coordinator for the parish's pastoral care committee and visitation of the sick program and has been a speaker at CWOZ luncheons and retreats, parish missions and for diaconate convocations. She is the mother of a married daughter and has one grandson.
