The students in the Lower and Upper Schools at Trenton Catholic Academy, Hamilton, raised more than $11,000 for their school during their annual Sister Marie Anthony Heiss, OSF, Memorial Walk/iPlay for Catholic Education Oct. 20.

Held on the grounds of the school campus, the Lower School students walked and ran laps around the track, while the Upper School students participated in field day-style games.

The annual event is held in honor of Sister Marie Anthony and her dedication to Catholic education in the Diocese of Trenton for more than 60 years. Proceeds from the event will be used to enhance and enrich the academic programs in the school.

The daylong event featured a disc jockey for the Lower School and a Teacher Pie Toss for the Upper School students.

“This is an important fundraiser for our school that provides us with the financial means to provide additional educational resources for our students,” said Sister of St. Joseph Sister Dorothy Payne, Trenton Catholic Academy president.

“We are so thankful to everyone who donated to this event and for our students who raise the funds for their school,” she said.
