It’s all in the perspective

April issue of The Monitor Magazine

How was your Holy Week and Easter?

Judging by the hundreds of images captured by Monitor photographers from across the Diocese, it was nothing short of momentous.

The April issue of The Monitor Magazine presents a photographic collection of some of the most beautiful and dramatic moments of this most sacred time in the life of our Church.  We featured Holy Week events from more than 20 different parish communities this year, with a focus on ceremonies and celebrations that many of the faithful don’t typically experience, such as the Chrism Mass and the Easter Vigil.

We especially recommend a compilation of excerpts from the homilies given by Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., (see page 8) as he spent Holy Week visiting with several parishes.

Please remember that we’ve posted many more photos from this special coverage to our website at trentonmonitor.smugmug.com.

This month’s IN FOCUS is no less momentous:  Divine Invitation is a dedicated section offering information and inspiration on the latest developments in the National Eucharistic Revival, including the upcoming pilgrimage in May and the Congress coming up in July.

In another of those extraordinary moments that have happened in our Diocese, this month’s magazine cover depicts the annual Blue Mass, or Celebration of Law Enforcement, which took place April 4.  To see nearly 1,000 law enforcement representatives and their supporters come together in prayer with the Bishop and many local priests is a rare opportunity and one worth your time as you page through this new issue.

Other content not to miss:

  • BE INSPIRED:  Latest installment spotlights the extraordinary work of U.S. Congressman Chris Smith and his wife Marie, who have spent decades standing up for human life in all its different stages and challenges.
  • EDUCATION: Report on the impact of artificial intelligence in our schools and how Catholic educators are preparing.
  • LOCAL:  Catechists learn the power of the storyPizza with the Pastor; Catholic scouting honors; Young pianist plays Carnegie Hall; Msgr. Crean scholarship winner.

Also … content from Pope Francis and the Church; news from around the World & Nation; Scripture and spirituality reflections; Viewpoints; Spanish-language items, and much more.

The April issue has been sent to the mailboxes and inboxes of our subscribers.  Not yet a subscriber? Sign up today safely and conveniently by clicking HERE or writing to [email protected].

May you continue to have a beautiful Easter season.  God bless!
